Strategic Planning & Project Design
The Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI) of Columbus, Ohio, has partnered with SGA Strategies for more than a decade to launch creative solutions and programs.
ECDI is widely recognized as an innovator and effective community development financier. ECDI sought to enter the trucking industry and invested in developing a trucking business.
The conditions supporting the expansion of trucking in Ohio shifted dramatically between the time the financing was secured and the planned launch of the business.
To help the organization adjust to this significant market shift and maintain its return on investment, SGA Strategies led ECDI through high-level strategic thinking and project redesign. The result? ECDI created the Food Fort, an industrial-sized facility offering all the physical resources a restaurant or food-based business needs, along with training, services, and access to capital.
